Architects of Time es el proyecto que quedó inconcluso tras el alejamiento del tecladista Geoff Downes de la banda para reunirse con la formación original de Asia. Bajo el nombre Asia feat. John Payne, y tras un paso por GPS, el cantante y bajista John Payne armó equipo con Erik Norlander (teclados), Jay Schellen (batería) y Mitch Perry (guitarra) para completar el álbum. Además se anuncian las participaciones especiales de Lemmy (Motörhead), Scott Gorham (Thin Lizzy) y Ronnie James Dio.
